  1. Zayed National Museum

The museum was announced in 2007 and will be opened on Saadiyat Island, which will become the Saaiyat Cultural District. This 44,000 square meter museum will be a memorial to the late Sheikh Zayed, the founding president of the UAE. The most striking feature of the museum is the shape of its steel wings, inspired by falcons’ wings. Sheikh Zayed had a passion for falconry and conservation. Each steel wing of the building will showcase a different gallery space.

The core gallery is “Sheikh Zayed: Life and Times.” There will be a “Falconry and Conservation Gallery,” which will focus on Sheikh Zayed’s passion for falconry. Like this, each gallery will showcase the country’s history and culture. It will also show you its most recent economic and social transformations.
